ITMA 2019 sets new record with biggest number of exhibitors!
July 16, 2019
ITMA is the world's most important textile machinery fair and has been held at Fira de Barcelona from the 20th to 26th of June 2019.
1.717 exhibitors from 45 countries have shown their latest technologies to over 120.000 visitors.
So, how to stand out in a such crowded event?
Speaking at the press conference on the opening day of the 18th edition of the exhibition, Mr Fritz P. Mayer, President of the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers (CEMATEX), said: “The global economy is still facing challenges, accentuated by trade tensions and disruption. However, textile being the world’s oldest manufacturing industry has demonstrated its resilience over the years.
The exhibits are showcased over 114,500 square metres of net exhibit space, a 9 per cent increase over the previous edition in 2015. The exhibition occupies all nine halls of the Gran Via venue, including the space under the linkway. To allow more companies to participate, many exhibitors were allocated lesser stand space than what they had originally applied for.
Such an important fair, every four years, implies an impeccable stand design to capture the visitor’s attention.
The elements to be considered are therefore:
- Scenographical hangings to standing out in pavilions so crowded;
- Textile machines in the foreground: in ITMA everybody loves to see machines in action, so a privileged position of them will attract also the hurried visitors;
- Colors: the textile industry is a colorful world by definition. Depending on the market placement, the exhibitor focuses on a multicolor stand, or bright colors or more elegant profile as black or white.
Stipa S.p.A. has designed and set up 6 customized booths to meet the peculiarities of each exhibitor:
The booth is conceived as a stage, with a spectacular curtain that appears as partially opened by the invisible hand of a curious spectator.
Also thanks to its bright colors, the goal was to invite the public to discover the company's know-how, technology and products.
"Even factories have an history" is the payoff of Corino Macchine and with the awareness of those who grew up in small steps, the company looks for the future as a sinuous line, at growing rhythm, to be always winning.
The curved and elegant lines are in fact the characterizing element of the booth, an attractive frame for the various machines on show.
The fantasy yarn machine wrapped in a full color frame is the prelude of the experience that has wowed visitors, a virtual reality immersion to discover in an interactive way the history, the production and organization of PAFA.
Gualchieri e Gualchieri
Tree-shaped displays show high quality yarns as fruit, exactly what the Gualchieri's innovative machines produce since 1973.
A special bright scenario, topped by a beautiful hanging, the ideal to present the new products and the "Yarn Glab" App.
Loris Bellini's dyeing machinery has a favourite colour: Green!
Sustainable technologies and high-end quality are the fundamental of the company vision and of the booth's concept.
A large space and an impressive frame that embraces impressive machineries, all surrounded by green LED glasses that emphasize the company logo.
An elegant and very welcoming space, where the white and green that characterize the company machines are re-proposed throughout the environment to increase the visitor's experience.
And what about the next edition?
ITMA will return in Milan, from the 8th to 14th of June, 2023, a highly appreciated location both for the excellent organization of the Fiera Milano - Rho exhibition center and for its location, in the center of many important textile districts.
